Project Engineer

The Project Engineer joins a fast paced, detail driven team responsible for delivering creative engineering solutions across diverse client needs. The role supports custom engineering projects spanning major live events, sports entertainment, touring productions and themed environments. Success requires strong problem solving instincts, a flexible mindset and curiosity for emerging technologies. The Project Engineer works directly with both internal and external clients from project inception through final execution and acceptance. This is a hands on role that may include mechanical or electrical design work as well as occasional assistance during assembly.
Role Description
Project Engineer
Full Time, Monday through Friday
Primary Responsibilities
Conduct initial client meetings to understand scope and deliverables.
Collaborate with engineering leadership to create project budgets and timelines.
Assist in the development of bid proposals.
Manage project contracts and billing with internal administrative teams and client accounting contacts.
Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation including contracts, invoices, budgets, deliverable matrices, purchase orders and related materials.
Maintain and update project schedules and Gantt charts, identifying blockers and escalating when needed to keep progress on track.
Assess and manage project risk.
Communicate directly with clients, manage expectations and provide regular progress updates.
Serve as a resource to the engineering team regarding manufacturability, field serviceability, assembly practices and troubleshooting.
Perform spot checks on fabrication and assembly performed by internal teams or external vendors, offering feedback when required.
Request and schedule installation crews as needed.
Provide regular status updates to engineering leadership based on project progress.
Develop and maintain business and vendor relationships.
Ensure the delivery of high quality and impactful end results.
Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Engineering.
Minimum of five years experience in a relevant engineering role.
PE licence is beneficial but not required.
Ability to work collaboratively across functions in a fast paced environment with short project life cycles.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong communication skills.
Ability to pass a background check.
