Senior Project Manager | Scenic Fabrication & Entertainment

Location: Brooklyn, NY

Compensation: $90,000 to $110,000

The Opportunity

An established scenic fabrication and production company is seeking a Senior Project Manager to oversee projects from initial bid through installation and strike. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who understands both the creative and operational sides of experiential, entertainment, and scenic fabrication projects.

You'll serve as the key link between clients, designers, and the shop floor, ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest standards of quality.

What You'll Do

Project Leadership

Manage projects from estimating and bidding through fabrication, installation, and final reconciliation

Coordinate material sourcing, scheduling, logistics, and on-site execution

Identify potential challenges early and develop solutions to keep projects moving forward

Team Leadership

Mentor and support project management staff

Review bids, budgets, schedules, and project documentation

Provide technical guidance and help develop best practices across the team

Client Management

Serve as the primary client contact throughout project delivery

Build strong client relationships through clear communication and proactive problem solving

Ensure creative vision is achieved while maintaining budget and schedule requirements

Production Coordination

Collaborate closely with technical designers and production leadership

Translate design concepts into practical fabrication and installation plans

Support continuous improvement of systems, workflows, and operational processes

What We're Looking For

5+ years of experience in scenic fabrication, live events, technical production, entertainment, or related industries

Previous experience working in a fabrication shop, scene shop, or production environment

Strong understanding of scenic construction methods, fabrication processes, and installation logistics

Experience managing multiple complex projects simultaneously

Advanced proficiency with Google Workspace and project management software

Highly organized with strong communication and leadership skills

Ability to remain calm and solutions-focused in fast-paced environments
