Senior CAD Detailer

Location: In-office, major US production hub

This organization is seeking a Senior CAD Detailer who can take strong design intent and turn it into clean, buildable, fabrication-ready drawings that move seamlessly from screen to shop to show floor.

This role is suited for an experienced detailer who can independently own drawings from concept through fabrication, understands how their work impacts production and installation, and takes pride in delivering files they would personally stand behind on the shop floor.

What You'll Do

Own the detailing process on complex experiential and fabrication-driven projects, from initial design intent through final build

Translate creative concepts into accurate, efficient, fabrication-ready CAD drawings

Produce detailed shop drawings, CNC-ready files, and field drawings that minimize guesswork and rework

Collaborate closely with Designers, Project Managers, and Production teams to align on scope, materials, methods, and timelines

Support shop and installation teams with clear documentation and technical clarity

Recommend materials, construction methods, and build strategies that improve efficiency and quality

Serve as a trusted technical resource for build feasibility, detailing standards, and best practices

What You Bring

3+ years of professional CAD detailing experience in exhibits, events, fabrication, or architectural millwork

High proficiency in AutoCAD (current version) with speed, accuracy, and confidence

Strong fabrication knowledge with a clear understanding of how drawings translate to real-world builds

Hands-on experience producing and supporting CNC-ready files

Ability to manage workload, meet deadlines, and prioritize independently

Clear, collaborative communication style across creative, project, and production teams

Calm, solution-oriented mindset in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments

High standards for accuracy, constructability, and craftsmanship
